This is a beautiful, carefully detailed oil painting on canvas of a rural Ecuadorian scene painted by Oswaldo Moncayo of the famous Moncayo family of artists. Moncayo lived from 1923 to 1984. His artwork is acclaimed worldwide for its attention to color and detail. Most of his paintings are found in museums, galleries and private collections in Ecuador, Argentina, and the United States.

This particular painting shows three men in native clothing, a mule and two llamas, walking along a trail beneath a snow-capped volcano. It is in like-new condition and measures 24-1/2" wide by 19" tall. It is signed "O. Moncayo" in the lower right corner.
