DESIGNED TO PROVIDE UNLIMITED OFF GRID TRAVEL WITH 800 WATTS OF SOLAR CHARGING
Harper was built in approximately 6 weeks on a 2021 Dodge Promaster 3500 platform. Our extensive CAD database of over 2,000 van parts and our CNC machining capabilities permitted us to build the entire interior of the van in just days; to accomplish the same by hand labor would take months. The vehicle was designed to accommodate the needs of an solo owner wanting to live full time in the van and work from the road. When off grid, the van powers itself from 800 Watts of rooftop solar panels and 400 Watts charging from alternator. Harper saves this power in an 3750 Watt/hr Ecoflow battery generator. For $1600 you can double the battery storage in just minutes to 7500 Watt/hrs.
Harper was designed for the solo venturist. We've designed multiple vans for for both couples and solo travelers. In return for a smaller bed (twin versus queen) the amount of storage space increased by 40%. Harper provides ultimate flexibility. The fold up twin size bed, removable partition, and a 16 foot long center isle in the van permits the owner to transport large cargos such as multiple bikes, lumber, or even a kayak.
Multiple hours were spent on the detailing of vehicle including matching walls to flooring, installation of custom cabinetry, a skylight, custom door panels, rear rooftop fan, and running boards. Harper has hot and cold running water, 31 gallon water tank, deep drawn steel sink, hardwood countertop, 5 gallon gray water-tank, and a 10 liter hot water heater/tank. The van has a full size refrigerator& freezer for maximum food storage. On average, refrigerator only requires 80 Watts of power With 800 watts of solar it can run 24 hours a day year round. A second shower at the rear of Harper provides a heated outdoor shower
Design philosophy:
This van was designed for adventure and daily practical use; a home on wheels. Walls, floor, and ceiling are all insulated and the van has a dedicated heat pump. The 800 Watts of solar panels constantly charge the battery generator during daylight hours On the road you'll be reliant on solar power and recharging from the van's alternator. You'll be able to take long-distance trips and be totally self reliant. But as soon as you plug into 120 Volt shore power you can run power the entire van. If you have access to a shore connection you can live in the van in the summer in Florida, or New England in the fall or winter. If you want an off grid heated van you can install a Webasto gasoline heater for about $2,000.
