1980's Aluminum Neck Headless Bass
In the 70's and early 80's Kramer Guitars in NJ were building guitars and basses with aluminum necks. The 80's got pretty experimental with a lot of one off, small runs and prototypes coming out of the shop, some making it to production. There was also some weird relationship with Hondo.
ALL of my research shows this as an early Kramer "The Duke" Headless Bass, with an atypical body shape. later shape was less radical. Bass was sold to me as a Kramer, but it has some features that lead me to believe it could be a Hondo, but none of my research supports that. Anyway: Schaller 3D Bridge, 3 Schaller tuners, one Grover(who knows?). Dimarzio JJ Pickup. Coil Splitter.
Bright sound played over pickup, warmer played closer to neck. 24 frets, short scale. Balances well on strap. Dings, scratches and mojo included free of charge. Price is firm. Includes a Headless USA bag, brand new (100$ value) Same bags made for the Steinbergers.
