Known for its balanced tone and exceptional projection, the 1127 was designed to Glen’s exact specifications, featuring a shallower "Artist" bowl for superior comfort and a focused mid-range that sits perfectly in any mix.
Condition: Very Good (Vintage / All Original) Provenance: Made in New Hartford, CT, USA.
🌟 Why the 1127 is Special 🌟
The "Artist" Bowl: Unlike the deep-bowl Ovations of the era, the 1127 features the Mid-Depth/Artist Bowl. It provides the perfect balance: more resonance than a shallow bowl, but significantly more comfortable than a dreadnought.
Premium Appointments: This isn’t a standard Balladeer. It features a AAA Sitka Spruce top, an Ebony fretboard with iconic Mother-of-Pearl Diamond/Dot inlays, and the signature Glen Campbell truss rod cover.
Quality: Built during the "Golden Era" of Ovation’s Connecticut factory, the craftsmanship and wood selection on these late-70s/early-80s models are world-class.
🎶 This instrument is 46 years old and carries its history with pride. It has been well-cared for and is in Very Good structural condition.
Cosmetics: There is a single hairline finish crack (typical of vintage Ovation lacquer) and a few minor dings on the upper and lower right bouts. These are strictly cosmetic and do not affect the structural integrity or the legendary sound of the Sitka Spruce top.
Playability: The neck is straight, the action is low and fast, and the frets have plenty of life remaining.
