We are seeking an experienced Chef for a Mediterranean themed family friendly restaurant in a busy location in Greenwich, CT.
Job Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Mediterranean cuisine
• Strong leadership and Team management skills
• Ability to motivate staff and maintain a positive work environment
• Knowledge of food presentation and recipes
• Help design the menu and create daily specials that reflect the restaurant’s theme
• Adaptability to changing trends and customer preferences
• Experienced managing budgets, labor, purchasing, vendors and quality control
• Operationally support the business as a leader and an individual contributor
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work full time schedule
• Must have Food Serv Safe certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
• Must be able to hire and train all stations in a kitchen
• Ensure consistent quality across all dishes
• Menu preparation, manage inventory, and control food waste
• Ensure all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
• Manage staff schedules, payroll, kitchen set up/break down, production
