Description:
1. Hi, this is a Fort Apache Playset I assembled over the years, that I got from various E-Bay auctions and Buy-It-Nows. The parts are Marx and Marx Clones, and, the walls are generally of two tones of brown.
Also only some of the walls have firing platforms to place figures on them for display. Along with the hard to get blockhouse. I used it for a few dioramas ranging from 1750-1880 A.D. time period, involving the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, Indian Wars, and, American Civil War.
I doubt I will be using it in the future, now is the time to let someone else get use out of the playset.
Picture One shows the Blockhose walls, floor, roof, and, the upper Guard Post(that goes on the roof). Also notice the floor is highlighted by paint. There is no front door.
Picture Two shows the same Blockhouse walls turned on the other side, in order to see the detail, also they are highlighted by paint. Also are seen four walls of the fort, and, half of a corner tower(highlighted by paint).
Picture Three shows thirteen more walls of the fort, please note three of them, are a different shade of brown, also a ladder.
Picture Four shows a complete corner tower, fort walls with the ledges for firing stands(two walls are of a different shade of brown), ten Marx/Marx Clones of Cowboys and Indians, and, a wagon less pair of drivers(there is no wagon). The corner walls and a gate are no longer available. Only a regular gate is available!
Picture Five and Six shows a partially painted(to highlight detail) gate blockhouse. Note this Blockhouse front wall and floor is one solid piece. It was used with a Fort Apache gate, with the name fort apache removed, and, with two walls to help support the blockhouse. Also a bit of corregated cardboard painted brown help support it, in the interior of the fort(that you have to supply).
Picture Seven shows the two side walls of the gate blockhouse, and, the second half of the corner blockhouse(the corner block house has the upper corners broken and are reinforce with tape, and, it is not highlighted with paint, and, it is a different shade of brown). There is no flagpole.
Picture Eight shows the Fort Apache gate(two doors not shown and one of the bases needs to be glued back on)with the words Fort Apache removed, to put it under the gate blockhouse(you still need to supply a interior cardboard wall to support the blockhouse, and, use the two walls). Also shown are three ladders, and, the reverse partially painted sides of the two side walls of the gate blockhouse, partially painted to show detail.
There is about 17 walls, 1gate, free standing blockhouse, gate blockhouse and one corner blockhouses, that you can make a nice size rectangular or square fort. And you can still kitbash an interior wall to support that blockhouse using a leftover Fort Apache wall.
Picture Nine shows both BMC North and South five man gun crew, with two stacked cannonballs, and, an officer(with no horse).
Picture Ten shows a highlighted in paint BMC Cannon for the gun crew.
Also picture 22 of a Marx terrain Desert section, modified cut down to 12” by 11” in size, with a little paint. Along with Marx and Generic parts of a lantern, two rifles, ladder, cactus, and, one early BMC smoothbore cannon(the latter highlighted by paint, same cannon seen in picture 10).
Not shown one of the two doors for the gate., and, a new FREE bag of wanna be Marx Like Clones Cowboys and Indians(see Picture 11). Postage and Handling is FREE via U.S.P.S. only for New York City. All sales final, no returns, AS IS, asking 199.99 PayPal Only.

Until then you have the Italeri French Castle laser cut still packed unopened, eyeballing the English Castle. This castle is from a broken up Italeri #6185 Castle Siege Set, all that is offered from this set is just the castle!(see pictures 20-21). It is made of I believe of heavy cardboard/wood type material, much too heavy for plastic!
All kits are new, contents stilled bagged, with the bombard guns and crews in a small zip lock bag, inside its box.
Finally Joan of Arc breaks the Siege of Orleans:… The commanders attacked the main English stronghold, called Les Tourelles, on the morning of 7 May. Joan was wounded by an arrow between the neck and shoulder while holding her banner in the trench outside the wall on the south bank of the river, but later returned to encourage a final assault that succeeded in taking the fortress. The following day (8 May), the English retreated from Orléans, ending the siege.
Supposedly Joan told her troops, that when her banner touched the walls of The Tourelles(a gate house that lead to the city, via, a bridge, it was so big it was the size of a small castle.). The Tourelles has fallen earlier to the English and it had become like a dagger at the throat of the city.
Once recaptured, the English could no longer hope to continue the siege of Orleans, and, were force to abandon the city.
You can use parts of the other two castles as the walls of the city of Orleans.
Note you need paint and glue to assemble these kits. The castles are a brown and gray color only! Again the Challenge kit comes with no spectators.
These kits make a perfect diorama of The Hundred Years War(it really was longer, but, there was periods of peace), between England and France towards the 1400s time period. It can be geared to the time of Joan of Arc, who finally decided the war in favor of France.
