This Vox AC50CP2 2x12 Combo Amp is a mean, versatile, all-tube amplifier with plenty of attitude and headroom. It marries functionality with tonality to achieve both Vox's classic clean tones and hi-gain overdrive in the same amp. Made with two 12" Wharfedale GSH12-30 speakers, it performs at 50 watts of power either at 8 or 16 ohms for considerable volume, though this 212 sounds great at lower settings as well, and doesn't break-up unless you want it to. It uses two EL34 power tubes, and four 12AX7 (ECC83) preamp tubes. The power supply is diode rectified.
It has two footswitchable channels, both of which are controlled independently. The clean side, Channel 1, has Volume, Reverb, Tone Cut, Bass, Middle, Treble and Gain controls. The gain channel, Channel 2, has Volume, Reverb, Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Gain, in addition to Bright and Fat switches for an even wider tonal palette. A Master Volume knob controls both. It also has an Effects Loop and Line Out outputs on the back, so you can tack on more volume with an extra speaker. A killer amp in every way, the Vox AC50CP2 2x12 Combo Amp does it all, from heavier rock to smoother jazz.
