This is a ca. 70s, free standing, 3 panel folding room divider screen in excellent, as-depicted condition. The solid hard wood frame is wrapped with split rattan caning enclosing horizontal rattan slats. Decorative & functional, this is a hefty, sound and attractive design decor element. The quality is present all the way to the hardware details. Black patinated brass hinges and round headed tacks add to the integrity of this versatile example of functional design decor.
The natural knots and varying rattan grains are present and add to the handmade look without giving way to 'tiki' or similar appearance. Finished in a mediun darker walnut tone, this screen integrates well across a range of settings. The teak frame has both heft and stability. The composition offers use as a privacy screen, a room dividerto be used to create shade & background for plants-or to create various spatial settings within open-or other floorplans.
The condition is very good/excellent with less than typical signs of any age or wear.
