Nourish is a newly opened, community focused restaurant in Mott Haven where food is more than a meal, it’s a tool for change.
All profits from Nourish directly support Oyate Group’s community initiatives, including:
• Apprenticeship and scholarship programs for local high school students
• Adult education programs in language learning, civic preparation, and professional certifications
Our menu celebrates the Bronx’s cultural and global heritage, featuring dishes such as Korean fried chicken, tres golpes, and half-day chicharrón. Beyond service, Nourish has become a neighborhood hub, supporting families displaced by October’s partial building collapse and hosting regular community nights that provide free meals to those in need.
We are currently seeking a Kitchen Supervisor / Lead Cook to support daily kitchen operations and collaborate closely with our Front of House team.
Responsibilities
• Light kitchen supervision and leadership during service
• Work hand-in-hand with Front of House to ensure smooth operations.
•. Maintain open, ongoing communication with FOH management
• Kitchen inventory management and ordering
• Supervise kitchen staff and support training as needed
• Ensure food quality, safety, and consistency
Qualifications
• 3+ years of cooking experience
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong team player with clear communication skills
• Valid Food Protection Certificate
• Availability on weekends and holidays
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred
