Landscape Construction Carpenter – Rooftop & Brownstone Gardens (NYC)
Established NYC garden design-build company specializing in rooftop and brownstone gardens is seeking a Landscape Construction Carpenter to join our team.
Our projects include custom wood planters, roof decks, garden structures, irrigation systems, and landscape installations in unique urban spaces.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building beautiful outdoor spaces and takes pride in craftsmanship and detail.
This position begins per-project with the opportunity to move into a full-time role after a trial period for the right person.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Exterior carpentry including custom planters, decks, and garden structures
* Landscape and garden installations on rooftops, terraces, and brownstone yards
* Estimating and organizing materials for projects
* Using smartphone apps for communication, scheduling, and job documentation
* Working with a small team on residential projects throughout NYC
**IDEAL CANDIDATE**
* Skilled with tools and comfortable building from plans or direction
* Detail-oriented with pride in craftsmanship
* Organized and able to think ahead about materials and workflow
* Reliable and able to work independently and with a team
* Physically capable of outdoor construction work
**REQUIREMENTS**
* Experience in carpentry, construction, or landscape building
* Fluent English
* Comfortable using smartphone apps for work communication
* Clean driving record preferred
* Security background check is mandatory
