Hi everyone! I’m looking to sublet my room in a 4-bed/2-bath apartment for six months while I temporarily move back in with my parents starting from October 1st, 2025 to March 31st, 2026. There may be an option to extend or do a lease takeover afterwards if interested and can be discussed towards the end of March, but it’s not guaranteed.
The neighborhood:
I’ve lived in the PLG/Flatbush/Little Caribbean area for the last couple of years. It’s a vibrant community and there are a good amount of restaurants, cafes and bodegas in the area. A produce market and Key Foods are only a 2-minute walk away from the apartment, while there’s a Lincoln Market that’s an 8-minute walk. Prospect Park is only about a 15-minute walk.
The apartment:
Our apartment is located right above a laundromat. It is a dumbbell-style layout with two bedrooms on one side and two bedrooms on the other. We also have two full bathrooms. You would be sharing the closest bathroom to your room with another roommate.
The room:
The room will come fully furnished with a full-sized bed frame and mattress, a wardrobe, desk and chair, four-cubicle shelving unit, and bedside table. I will be clearing out all my belongings so you have space to put yours. The room is located away from the street and right across from another bedroom. We have central air and heat throughout the apartment, but it may still get a little cold in the room during the winter, so you are more than welcome to bring a small personal heater if necessary.
Public transit:
Access to the 2/5 trains on Winthrop St as well as the B44 and B44 SBS
Your roommates:
You will be living with three very friendly roommates.
-C, 27, she/her, is a fine artist that does sculpture and installations, loves music and sports
-J, 27, she/her, is an interactive media student, loves gaming and animation, and works as a server
-M, 23, she/they, works as a pastry chef, loves baking, art, sewing, reading and writing
You:
Female, mid-20s to early 30s, lgbtq+ friendly, 420-friendly, clean and tidy, doesn’t mind a chat here and there but also is considerate of people’s space, friendly, respectful, has a form of stable income and can provide proof of it (this is for the landlord), okay with guinea pigs in the apartment. Sorry, no other pets allowed.
