--We seek a professional or mature student for ASAP move-in from September 19 through Oct 1:
--Currently there are 2 Professional Male Roommates, both late 20s; 1st roommate is a schoolteacher and music/sound engineer on the side; 2nd Roommate is a full-time student at Brooklyn College and also does music/DJing on the side. Outgoing roommate was working at Barclays Bank in downtown Brooklyn. The current roommates have a staggered schedule so there is no conflict with using the common areas like the BA or Kitch.
--Prefer those interested in a long-term stay of 10-12 months; seeking only Long-term Subletters.
--This is nice room with a deep closet and two large windows, with AC already installed in the room for easy use in the Summer Months. The room gets great light.
--The room could be provided furnished, and we have posted pictures of the space both furnished and unfurnished. Outgoing Roommate may be willing to sell the incoming roommate his furniture. Room will fit queen/full size bed easily with room for desk/dresser, chair, etc….
--This is on a 2nd floor of a 3-story walk-up building on a quiet residential block. Very quiet building. Small property so we know all our neighbors.
--This is an older building so there are no amenities like gym or rooftop, but the rooms and apartments are larger than most newly built buildings.
--Utilities are about $ 50-120 per person additional per month depending on usage.
--We are 4 blocks from the A train on Nostrand Avenue Stop--15 minutes to Manhattan (Downtown-Fidi-Wallstreet) for those going back to the office!
--Laundry, supermarket, restaurants, bars around the corner on Tompkins Avenue.
--Seek communicative, respectful, non-smoking, no pets, no couples.
--The current roommates are long-term subletting: leaseholder Sarah is assisting in the search for a replacement roommate; if you email or text she may answer and set up appointments to show the apartment but the current roommates, Alec and Ben, will be able to meet/ chat via video or in-person depending on their schedule!
--Please email or text with your name, how long you plan to sublet for, your age, whether M or F, and a little bit about why you are moving to NYC, also provide sometimes you are available to view or tour the unit either in person or via remote video.
