My flatmate and I (and our two cats) are seeking a third for out second story three bedroom one bath apartment in east flatbush. The room is 850 a month (850x3 for first last and deposit), comes with a twin bed, has two big windows, a closet, outlets, and a locking door. The room measures 11'5" x 10'9". Utilities run between 60-100 I believe, depending on the season. You would have complete use of the common spaces. We have a well stocked kitchen, so no need to purchase pots and pans, dishes, utensils, etc. You would have a few cabinets to yourself for food, and fridge space of course. We have a large common room, however the setup doesn't quite allow for a couch/living room situation. We currently have a table and three chairs set up instead (we may be replacing soon). An exterminator comes by every so often for the whole building. There is a laundromat less than a block and a half away from us who offers full service washing. The 2 and 5 trains are just across the street from us. There are several quality markets on our block as well. It's overall a very convenient spot, though it may be out of the way.
A little about us:
Eness is a recent transplant, works with kids, and has a little calico cat that is very talkative and curious.
Gabee is a student who works part time as well and has lived in the apartment for several years now and has a lot of knowledge on the area and mostly deals with the landlords. She has a big cuddly ragdoll cat as well.
Queer friendly, 420 friendly, just friendly friendly really.
We are hoping to find someone who will pay rent on time (obviously), clean up after themselves (yes please), and just be generally communicative and respectful. Guests are cool as long as they're respectful (we're all adults right). Essentially we would like someone better than previous roommates who would leave dishes and garbage around (Ew) and would leave the door unlocked (like why?) and be loud at all hours (dear god no). We're cool and all, but that shit is rude.
We're both generally chill and we are around the place quite a bit but we are also busy with our own lives too. No preference on whether you're a homebody or not. We don't judge. We would just really like to find someone who vibes with us, or at least is friendly and nice and can hang with the cats wandering around your feet. (You can of course always close your door if you don't want then in your business!)
There is ample time before the move in date. The old roommate is still living here. But we would both really like to Skype and/or meet up and find the right fit. Thanks for looking!
