PRICE: each room is $812/month (plus $100 in utilities + supplies - TP, dishsoap, etc.)
ROOM #1 DATES: Dec 8 - Feb 9
ROOM #1 TOTAL: $1,824 (for 2 months of rent + utilities)
ROOM #2 DATES: Dec 13- Jan 17
ROOM #2 TOTAL: $1,033 (for 1 month + 5 days of rent + utilities)
APARTMENT CULTURE:

- Balance of communal space and personal space. We like to chill sometimes; we like to hide in our rooms sometimes.
- Common space is sometimes used for rehearsals, music, and art making.
- Basic but firm house agreements (chore system, quiet hours, checking in about visitors, etc.)
- occasional house meetings
- We keep it real clean.
- We share food sometimes but are not a co-op!
- We host out-of-town visitors sometimes and enjoy having friends over.
- We are a trans-inclusive home. Roommates and their guests should be competent at respecting folks' pronouns & gender identities.
APARTMENT FEATURES:
- 5-Bedroom loft with a VERY LARGE communal living space with large windows
- Open floor plan includes kitchen, dining area, living area, rehearsal/art area
- You will have your own shelf in one of the fridges and a cabinet shelf where you can store dry goods
- Only 1 bathroom
- We have a weathered piano that gets played often, as well as an electric piano
- Large building. Many units. Old hosiery factory. Very high ceilings.
- 2nd Floor. Elevator inside building, ramp outside building (to front entrance)
- bathroom is small and therefore not wheelchair accessible unfortunately
- Roof access
- Laundry in building
- Half a block from a grocery store
- off the Classon Ave Stop on the G
ROOM #1:
- Available Dec 8 - Feb 9
- $1824 for entire period
- 10'x13'
- This room has a lofted bed, with a closet and desk space underneath
- Room is also furnished with a futon (which you can fold out if you prefer not to sleep in loft).
- loft accessible via narrow-ish stairway (1'11" wide)
- When standing in loft, height from loft floor to ceiling is 5'5".
- full mattress, bedding provided
- All of my stuff will remain in the room so storage is limited. But I will create space on the hanging rack in the closet and can clear a couple of shelves/drawers.
- there's no window to outside! (There is a window into the common area above the door, but very little natural light gets in)
ROOM #2:
- Available Dec 13 - Jan 17
- $1033 for entire period
- 10'x13'
- This room also has a loft, which is currently being used for storage
- loft accessible via wide ladder
- Resident roommate sleeps on a futon mattress on the ground floor, which is then rolled up and put away during the day
- Mattress can be relocated to loft if desired
- this room has a little more storage space available than room #1 (in loft)
- there's no window to outside! (There is a window into the common area above the door, but very little natural light gets in)
WHO LIVES HERE:
We are various kinds of artists, thinkers, magic-makers, and gig workers, doing all sorts of stuff! I (the one subletting the first room) am white, queer/trans and 35. Other 4 roommates are bipoc, mostly queer, and ages 27, 31, 33, 34. she/he/they/she.
IDEAL SUBLETTER:
- has experience with respectfully navigating QTPOC spaces
- experience with communal living
- communicative of their needs/feelings/boundaries
- down with structured chore system
- thoroughly cleans up after themself and conscious of how they're inhabiting the space
- can respect house expectations/boundaries
