Hi! My name is John, and I am looking for a roommate to rent a bedroom in my sunny, two bedroom, one bathroom apartment in Sunset Park (or South Slope, depending on who you ask).

ABOUT THE APARTMENT: The apartment is located on 23rd Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue. It is on the top story of a three unit house. The owners/landlords live in the basement unit, and are very nice people. I have built up a good relationship with them, and they are counting on me to find a great new roommate. I am the tenant, and you would sign a sublease with me. The rent is $1,200 per month, plus utilities, which usually run around $150-$200.
To move in will cost the first month's rent ($1,200) plus a security deposit of $1,200, for a total of $2,400.
The apartment is overall in good condition, gets excellent light, has nice air flow, and is in a convenient location - two blocks from the 25th Street R line, a short walk from the 36th Street station, and a short bike ride to downtown Brooklyn. The bedroom for rent has two windows and a closet. The pictures of the bedroom show it when it was furnished by a previous occupant. All current furniture can/will be removed.
ABOUT ME: I am a high school teacher who has lived in the Sunset Park area since 2016. I'm looking for a roommate who is financially responsible, respectful of common areas, helps to keep the apartment clean, and doesn't mind keeping the volume down after 9:30pm (I have to go to bed early because I wake up early each day).
I am a very responsible roommate who considers this apartment to be a good deal, and I'm looking for someone who will be a good fit.

Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you,
John
PS: There is a cat who currently lives at the apartment (hence the litter box in the bathroom photo) but she will be moving out at the end of the month.
