One room available in a large home in Bedstuy with 4 bedrooms, a guest room, and a studio.
The lease runs until the end of June, and we’re hoping to stay after that, so long-term is preferred, but we are open to short as well.
We are 5 minutes away from the subway, in a vibrant area close to the border between Bushwick and Bedstuy, so restaurants, stores, bars, and nightlife are all readily available.
The house is on the top floor of a big, eclectic prewar building. Third-floor walk-up, unfortunately, not ADA accessible. One large common area is surrounded by open attic space for storage and two rooms. Very, very high ceiling everywhere, exposed beams, hardwood floors. A deck too!
Two bathrooms, a washing machine, but no dryer.
The room is very spacious, fits a bed, desk, dresser, and closet easily. Has a window. Can be partially furnished (bed, desk, some shelves) if needed.
I, Margherita, am a queer movement artist and educator. Early 40s and hailing from Italy, I’ve been in Brooklyn for almost 20 years.
David is a queer non-binary German actor and dancer working on their master's in performance studies. Late 20s.
Jonah is a fabricator and art handler from Texas, early 30s.
We all work and spend a lot of time outside the house but enjoy chatting, eating together, watching movies occasionally, and generally having an open, communicative, community-oriented living arrangement. We share household expenses and generally try to take care of each other and our home together.
We do enjoy guests, and love having a guest room so we can host friends and family traveling through and occasionally sublet for short term.
