About the apartment: This is a first floor level duplex unit in Crown Heights that features 5 bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, 1 1/2 baths, a living room, dishwasher, and a private backyard. Laundry is in the building next to our apartment, and we have access to the building's roof.
Central A/C and heat, with an electric fireplace in the basement. Rent covers water. We split Coned, internet, & National Grid, as well as expenses such as toilet paper/cleaning supplies.. You would be sharing the house with a standard poodle (hypoallergenic), the friendly and loving Harlow, who stays in Emeline's room through the day. And downstairs we have Chewy, an older cat who generally lounges in the living room throughout the day, and lives in Sydney's room otherwise.
Your Room $1040/mo: This basement room looks out to the private backyard space with 2 windows, and has a tile floor and spacious closet.

About Vaeh: she/her, 22, Queer, quiet and reserved, Aries. On the weekdays I'm in and out of the home, and on the weekends I waitress. My hobbies include gaming, yoga, and biweekly spas or saunas of some sort.
About Emeline: she/they, 31, queer, gregarious introvert, actor/model, Pagan, leftist, Cancer, Harlow's mom. I'm an actor/model, so I am working pretty much 24/7. If I'm not working, I like to chill in my room, watch TV in the living room, or read out in our backyard. I like to host for the Pagan high holidays. I'm no-contact with my bio family, which means I’m usually here and hosting for the big holidays.
About Sydney: she/her, 28, queer, EXTROVERT, English Teacher, Libra, Chewy's mama. I work Monday through Thursday, and when I’m not working, I’m reviewing school work, reading, or watching football in the living room. I love to cook/bake in the kitchen, and I frequently organize “family dinners” and other gatherings/parties at home. I travel occasionally on the weekends/during school breaks.
About Leyrian: she/they, 25, queer, ambivert, Aquarius, full time student and journalist.
About you: We are looking for folks who are community-minded, thoughtful, clean, tidy, and respectful. Solid communicators, but also respectful of folks' personal space, items, and time. We typically host monthly dinner parties together, and would love someone who'd be interested in co-hosting with us. We like to do family dinners frequently together, so we would all be contributing something for the table. Beyond that, we really appreciate keeping a relatively quiet home, because we all have varying schedules. Queer lefties are preferred! Please send us a little blurb about yourself!
Notes:
Absolutely no couples. As there is a dog & cat in the home, we will not accept anymore pets. We're looking for people who will stay and renew with us each year long term (preferred), rather than someone looking to stay just for a year. This is our forever home and we hope you choose it to be yours as well.
