Hello everyone,
Our housemate has just informed us of her departure. We are looking for someone genuine thoughtful gentle and communicative to take her place starting December 1st 2025. The place welcomes good energy and hopefully you are that!
The apt is located on Bedford Ave near Pratt, nearest train is either Myrtle-Willoughby or Bedford-Nostrand stop on the G, but plenty of busses to take you directly into downtown Brooklyn or Williamsburg or Bushwick, just 15 min away. We are pretty close to all 3 bridges so commuting by Uber/Lyft is also available and relatively inexpensive. If you're not an Uber/Lyft person, plenty of cabs pass the front at all times of the day/night, and 3 citibike stations within a 5-block radius. A newly renovated YMCA is about 8 blocks up the street. Tons of cute restaurants and cafes and grocery stores nearby, sometimes we never leave for the city because there's no need! Laundromat is directly across the street, with an ice cream shop right next door :)
The room itself has AMAZING all day light, almost-walkin-closet-sized with top storage, and comes minimally FURNISHED with a full size bed and bookshelves (as pictured). The big bathroom upstairs is the one you will share with one other roommate 🙃, and occasionally for guests.
We are pretty private people so it's not often we have a ton of guests over, if any at all. We are two fairly full-scheduled professionals that have mixed schedules (WFH as well as in-office hours) like most, when we’re home we often cook separately and hang out when our schedule naturally allows.
On that note and just fyi, one of us (me) is a recovering OCD-maximalist (read: not synonymous with type A 🙃) who errs on the side of clean and less-is-more nowadays, so hopefully that is welcomed and even a cherished trait, and ofc I invite any assistance in that department always :)
We are hoping for someone considerate, creative, responsive, sweet-spirited, Covid-conscious, clean, responsible and communicative. On time with bills and the occasional divided house cleaning duties. The apt is on the cooler side (in the winter) with central heat and moderately cool (in the summer) with AC (to keep it wallet-friendly) and hopefully you are okay with that. Bills are divided 3-ways with Internet ($30), gas (rate varies), and electric (rate varies). Monthly rent is $1425 due when move-in commence, and a $1425 deposit to secure the apt.
The room is available starting December 1 2025 for a 3-6 months trial, and longer if it feels fitting :) If all this sounds like something that may interest you or anyone you know, please share a quick bio, we would love to meet you!
