I'm selling off my Ultimatte 500 and SR-3 remote and with power cables and remote cable. I'm switching up my current setup and am no longer using this for live green screen compositing. One of the great features of this box is the light controls, which allow you to get the most out of minimal lighting and just a few adjustments on the Ultimatte.
Everything is in great working order, I'm asking $250 for the setup. If you have any questions feel free to reach out.
Also some fun facts:
-Ultimattte was purchased by Blackmagic Design so you know their quality.
-These type of Ultimatte machines were used to composite the visuals in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the early 2000's Spidermans.
From the web:
The Ultimatte 500 is the next generation, standard definition, blue/green screen, compositing device.
The Ultimatte 500 has been designed to address the needs of virtual studios. With enhanced Matte controls, streamlined Ambiance controls, the Ultimatte 500 can create very realistic composites.
• The Ultimatte 500 incorporates modified matte algorithms to extend the ability of accurately separating the FG subject from the backing.
• In addition to standard Matte Sizing, the Ultimatte 500 incorporates Matte Correction, which analyzes all matte transitions, and applies the appropriate amount of correction to the transitions which need modification.
Ambiance allows the FG subject to be more naturally and realistically placed in its new environment.
• The Ultimatte 500 has four inputs with active loop outputs. The user can assign which of these inputs to be the Foreground, the Background or the external Matte.
• The Ultimatte 500 allows the user to input two external Mattes (4:0:0) simultaneously, and assign how each of these mattes will be used. One external Matte could be used as a garbage matte (force BG), while the second external Matte could be used as a holdout matte (force FG). Alternately, both external Mattes can be multiplexed into one signal (4:4), thus utilizing the full bandwidth of the SDI signal.
