BROOKLYN based non-profit community organization has the following Full Time After School Program SITE DIRECTOR position for an Elementary School Program Site- will include 13 school holidays, mid-winter and spring breaks. Prior experience required.
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Mandarin a plus.
To plan, organize and implement Common Core based instruction that ensures an optimal learning environment
that guides and encourages student to develop and fulfill their academic potential
• Report to Executive Director and Sr. Program Supervisor regarding the progress of students/staff
• Monitor the behavior of students in academic setting; work with program line staff to monitor classroom
operations ROP which relates to behavior modification techniques
• Complete and submit required forms and records in a timely fashion
• Liaise with parents, Teachers, Group Leaders, and Youth Workers to ensure the safety and engagement of
children assigned
• Prepares, maintains continuous contact with staff confirming learning
• Provide student progress reports as requested by activity and or group
• Use relevant technology to support instruction
• Review, approve and develop staff weekly lesson plans
• Facilitate purposeful education that fosters the development of and build upon the children’s skills
• Develop post-class feedback matrix for staff to improve the quality of education
• Provide strong management skills, ensuring that all participants follow agency and program rules
• Complete all projects and tasks as requested
• Attend all meetings, training workshops and special events, as required, inclusive of those outside of program
hours
• Complete 30 hours of DOHMH required professional development each calendar year.
• Adhere to all IACRL policies, practices, and procedures
• Complete all assigned projects and tasks on time
• Monitoring of program ROP
• Coordinate professional development opportunity with Executive Director and Sr. Program Supervisor
NOTE: All COMPASS/SONYC program positions will require fingerprint, SCR (back-ground check) and medical clearance to work with children. COVID19 Vaccine preferred for all staff.
