bassist looking for a doom/thrash/death metal band (Brooklyn)

i'm looking for a band to play in. i've been playing/practicing for two years as a left-hand bassist and still practicing/transitioning to a six-string right-handed bass.
i'm heavily rooted in DOOM, THRASH and even DEATH metal. while i know my notes and tunings, i don't care about being technical, since I want to focus heavily on atmosphere and invoking certain feelings by music. i want to explore musically. i want to contribute to the groove and vibe. i am more than willing to learn what it takes to be a good bass player and integrate that into your band.
my artists i gain HEAVY influence from are BEHEMOTH, CELTIC FROST and SLAYER. but i know ANTHRAX. i know METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLIPKNOT, SEPULTURA, FEAR FACTORY.
i'm getting frustrated this economy is sucking so much and that i can't hold down a job that I ACTUALLY WANT. so i want to find a band who wants to explore musically. invoke feelings. i even like to offend others using lyrics, for any feeling is better than an indifferent feeling. music is ART to me, and ART can be offensive.
i'm also not some old geezer, i'm fairly young at 23, so i feel like i can adapt and learn more, and truly spread my musical wings with you. don't be afraid to ask questions or reach out.
