NY Steinway Model C grand piano #76927 (1893)
Comprehensive rebuild completed and delivered June 2016. Rebuild done by Jim Ialeggio of Shirley, Massachusetts.
RCS (rib crowned & supported) spruce soundboard; new customized rib layout. Bridges recapped on original roots. New pinblock, new agraffes, capo bars reshaped and profiled. Plate installed with WNG plate perimeter bolts. Restrung with Paulello plain wire (rescaled). Customized iron-wrapped bass strings by Hellerbass (Germany)
Original keyframe and keyset with new keybuttons, keys rebushed. New anodized WNG keypins. New Tharan keytops. Balance rail modified for greater leverage; capstan placement enhanced and anodized aluminum WNG capstans installed. New WNG action frame on original keyframe. New WNG backaction tray and sostenuto system. Tokiwa damper underlevers. WNG customized wippens.
New Ronsen bacon felt hammers and Tokiwa shanks/flanges installed January 2023 by James Carney PianoWorks.
