This is a Japanese SQ serial number Strat with sen ash body in its original black poly finish. New pickguard and tremolo arm, but all electronics and hardware (pickups w/covers, 250K pots w/covers, .047 capacitor, DM-50 switch, jack input w/plate, tremolo w/block & saddles, tuner keys, string trees, neck plate w/bolts & micro tilt screw, tremolo spring cover backplate w/screws, strap pins) are fully original. One-piece maple neck with new bone nut. It's got a very comfortable C profile and the fretboard radius is vintage 7.25". Original vintage frets have been restored to wear-free condition and polished with "0000" steel wool. The fretboard is in an overall great condition and has only minimal wear marks. The back of the neck is absolutely flawless and still has the polished, silky, slinky look and feel. Blemishes include a tiny little nick at the tip of the headstock and a small piece of wood that got chipped off behind the nut at the low E but has been glued back on and polished (seen on pictures). There are also a couple of finish chips in the body. Tuner keys, tremolo and truss rod work flawlessly as they should. Guitar weighs 7.4 lbs. It was recently set up with D'Addario 10-46. It plays well and sounds amazing. These early, made in Japan Squiers are very cool and collectable. Pickups measure 6.8 K resistance. No case. No trades. Price firm.
