Stokkers' Musical Instruments Stereo - Mono Guitar Box SMGB1 Black

Turn your stereo guitar into a mono guitar with this simple box!

This box was created with vintage stereo guitars and basses in mind.

As opposed to paying a lot to have a tech convert your vintage guitar from stereo to mono, and damaging the value of your instrument, you can simply use this box and play your instrument like a mono guitar! Gaining control of your pickup selector and volume/tone controls again!

Simply plug a stereo TRS cable into your stereo guitar jack, plug the other end of the TRS cable into the stereo end of the SMGB1, plug a regular mono TS guitar cable into the mono end of the SMGB1, then plug the other end of your regular guitar cable into your amp or pedals. See the pictures for an example of a TRS and TS cable next to their respective jacks. Notice the two black rings vs the single black ring.

Some models this will work well with are the Gibson ES-345 or ES-355 stereo models, with or without the Varitone. Keep in mind that many Gibson stereo models have pickups that are out of phase with each other. This only affects the middle switch position while both pickups are on and gives the guitar a thin and quacky or honky sound, a la Peter Green's Les Paul known as the Greeny Moore Burst. There are also SG, Les Paul, BB King Lucille, ES-335,

The box will also work with Rickenbacker's Ric-O-Sound jack, and stereo model guitars and basses built by Airline, Aria Pro, Carvin, Chapman, Crucianelli, Danelectro, Eko, Electra, Epiphone, Gretsch, Guild, Harmony, Ibanez, Kramer, Magnatone, Matsumoku, Mosrite, Ovation, Silvertone, Univox, Vox, Westone, Wurlitzer, and many more.

The box has been adorned with an Impko Worm 1960's water slide decal and is in the 1960s GM car color Jet Black.

The box is new and made in a small shop, Stokkers' Musical Instruments LLC, in Brooklyn, NY, USA.
