Made in '81 England. Purchased in 1990 used from D&D studios in midtown home of Dee Light and the Fat Boys.
Somewhere between 81 and 90, someone got this customized by Time Electronics and it now has a third volume, cutoff switch, a little red light indicator and an extra 30 watts of distortion. So it's an 80 watt Marshall! Volume control is on the far left.
I only used a distortion pedal with this amp for leads. It's a beast. It's played Lamour's. It's played cbgb'c but not much else. It really didn't get a lot of work in the 34 years I've owned it. I usually opted for my smaller amps depending on the gig. Hasn't been used for a gig in over 10 years. It has two maintenance tags from Blackie Pagano. I'm sure you can give him a call if needed.
It's a Metal/Hardcore amp for sure but has a wide range to get a clean crisp tone with huge bite for leads without a distortion pedal "boost" for volume.
It needs to be played. It's not fair to the amp. And I'm leaving! : (

This is the Marshall you've heard about. Great for Metal, Punk, NY style Hardcore.
