This bass is known as the "1977 lawsuit bass" 1977 was the year that Ibanez marketed a bass that looked exactly like the very popular Fender P-bass, down to the screw holes, resulting in a lawsuit and a discontinuation of the model.

Great bass, beautiful tone and great feel, as always from Ibanez.
