projects: high-end residential millwork in Manhattan + Brooklyn
We are a high-end custom cabinetry and millwork shop serving luxury residential projects. We are looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker / Woodworker who takes pride in precision, clean execution, and professional shop habits.
Core responsibilities
Interpret shop drawings and execute work accurately, according to the shop drawings
Correct errors and communicate with cad draft team to avoid production mistakes
Create cut lists and part lists, label and organize pats - identify materials, and plan fabrication steps for assigned work
Build high-quality custom cabinetry and millwork components efficiently, assign work to helpers
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and fit components with attention to detail and tight tolerances
Operate shop machinery and tools safely (sliding table saw, shaper, routers, hand tools, and CNC-related production workflow)
Install hardware (hinges, slides, pulls, LED lights and specialty systems)
Keep a clean and organized workshop and protect finished parts
Follow safety guidelines and standard shop procedures
Use our project management systems to workflow documentation
Requirements
Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in high-end residential custom cabinetry / millwork
Strong ability to read blueprints and shop drawings, and work from specifications
General understanding of CNC-based cabinet manufacturing - CNC production knowledge is a plus
Proficiency with woodworking machinery, sliding saw, edgebender, shaper and hand tools (safe, efficient operation)
Excellent understanding of machine maintenance and upkeep to maintain workshop machinery
40-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training certification required (no exceptions)
Reliable, punctual, and accountable with consistent quality standards
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical requirements
Able to lift and move materials
Comfortable standing, bending, crouching, and reaching for extended periods
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Good vision for detailed work (close vision, color vision, depth perception)
