My name is Ben, I grew up in NYC and have played at some of the city’s most well-known clubs including The Bitter End, SOB's, Knitting Factory, Bowery Electric, Rockwood Music Hall, and Arlene's Grocery. I have over 20 years of experience playing drums since I was 9 years old, learning on a Tama Superstar kit in the small Chelsea apartment where I grew up – it IS possible! I’m a product of the city’s public school music programs, playing in shows and theater productions at The Beacon School, and I still have professional relationships with the program there.

I am passionate about passing on the gift of music! My philosophy for beginners and younger players is to get them playing to songs and having fun first and foremost. We can work on coordination and basic skills first, then sharpen technique based on your goals and areas of interest. Use the drums to discover new talents you never thought you had, and sharpen important life skills including patience, discipline, cooperation, composure, and confidence.

Whether you're just starting out or have experience I would love to work with you. Together we can design custom lessons to meet your goals. All ages accepted.
