Hello,
My name is Sidahmed, and I’m a math tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience, currently looking for new middle and high school students. My goal is to help students understand their lessons, complete homework confidently, and build a genuine interest in math.
I currently tutor two Brooklyn students, ages 13 and 15, in pre-algebra and geometry. I create enrichment exercises to support independent learning, review homework, provide study tips, and keep parents updated on progress. I’m patient with young learners and passionate about showing that math—and even physics—can be fun and rewarding.
A bit about me: I’m originally from Mauritania and moved to New York in 2023. Back home, I worked as a substitute math and physics teacher for middle and high school classes (20–25 students each) while earning my Master’s in Engineering Statistics and Econometrics. I graduated as Salutatorian (2nd out of 40 students) in my program.
I’m based in Brooklyn and offer one-on-one, in-person lessons between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM. My rate is $25 per hour, plus subway fare if applicable. I also offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation for families to see if my tutoring is the right fit.
I’m multilingual in English, French, and Arabic.
Thank you for your time—I look forward to helping more students grow in confidence and success in math!
