Recently, I have helped current students prepare for a performance at the Kennedy Center, audition for high school and college, write and produce their own albums, meet their yearly goals for music and prepare for recitals.
I work with each student to develop a curriculum that is in line with the student's goals. I strive to keep lessons fun while helping students discover their musical voices. I teach rock, pop, folk, classical and songwriting. It brings me a lot of joy to watch students become more confident musicians and songwriters.
I am running a special in September & October: $49 for 30-minute lesson. Offer good for lessons through October 2025. I currently have a few spots remaining on Thursdays and Fridays. I also offer online lessons: $39 for 30-minutes offered throughout the week. My current students are starting to prepare for a studio recital in November.
About Me:
I have a BA in music from Columbia College Chicago and a MMEd (master’s degree in music education) from VanderCook College of Music. I am currently based in Brooklyn, NY. I have toured the US with various bands and ensembles over the years including an indie-rock quintet, a 10-piece chamber rock ensemble, Girl Group Chicago, a big band orchestra and as a solo musician. I have accompanied for the Music in the Parks competition and have participated as a theatre pit musician in various Chicago productions for Porchlight Music Theatre, Stage Door Fine Arts and The Neo-Futurists. I compose and perform my own music and am currently recording my third album of original music.
