Greenery NYC, a Brooklyn-based botanic design company, is seeking a Project Field Coordinator to join our team. Greenery NYC specializes in the integration of plant life into architecture and human spaces. As a multi-faceted, fast-paced company, Greenery NYC is known for creating innovative botanic installations that utilize technology and deep horticultural knowledge to enable lasting indoor ecosystems.
We are seeking to add a key member to our installation and production team. This is a dynamic, full-time position that requires excellent communication skills, strong organization and a dedication to responsiveness. This position reports to the Project Manager and works closely with the executive and sales teams.
Responsibilities/duties
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop positive relationships with clients
- Assist Installation Superintendent and Project Manager in production coordination
- Track and report project expenses throughout the duration of each project
- Attend site assessments to evaluate site conditions prior to installations
- Categorize, label, and organize materials for projects
- Review and recommend plant substitutions as needed based on availability and design intent
- Receive plants, planters, and other hard good deliveries
- Quality control on planters upon arrival
- Effectively communicate receival of and issues with project materials
- Collaborate in weekly production meetings to update the team on project progress and upcoming needs
- Coordinate/organize deliveries to project sites
- Assist in loading/unloading trucks for deliveries
- Receive deliveries on site and coordinate with movers as needed to ensure correct placement of materials on site
- Coordinate with Designer/Sales team on any plant placement questions on site to ensure design intentions are met in a sound and aesthetically aligned manner.
- Manage Part Time Production Assistants on site with tasks specific to project needs
- Communicate with Project Manager any concerns while on site
- Provide detailed installation summaries and documentation at the close of each project
- Collaborate on project specific needs, such as irrigation installations
- Ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to internal quality standards
Qualifications/requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of professional work experience
- Experience providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to troubleshoot potential issues and articulate problems with a clear, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and manage shifting priorities
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Strong working knowledge of Google Suite
- Strong initiative to take on tasks and ask questions
- Ability to tackle tasks independently without needing directive to move forward
- Interest in tropical plants, architecture, interior design and biophilic principles
- Passion for collaboration
- Solution oriented approach to problem solving
- Ability to meet the physical demands of installation work, including lifting, bending, and working in active jobsite environments
- Scheduling flexibility is required - after hours and weekend work are regularly needed to support installation timelines and client schedules
