Boxing and strength training have always gone hand in hand. Not so much the bodybuilding type of weight lifting (although some use of weights can be very helpful) but strength training using a variety of methods specifically bodyweight and resistance bands. Boxing provides, among other benefits, a serious cardio workout and the resistance bands promote direct positive stress on the muscles with minimal involvement of and no damage to the joints. The combination of the 2 is a winner.
I initially provide all of the equipment but you will be encouraged to purchase your own boxing gloves. Please be advised that all training is conducted either in a public park, your residence providing there’s a gym or a suitable space, or a fitness studio in lower Manhattan. Discounts on REGULAR training prices if you have access to an indoor space.
