Selling our patio dining set. We loved it but we’re moving and it can’t come with us. It’s a big rectangular table with a wood-look finish and a hole in the middle for an umbrella, plus 6 matching chairs with the woven rope/cord seats and backs over wood frames, really comfortable.
Being upfront about the wear so there are no surprises when you show up. There’s a lengthwise crack running across two of the tabletop boards. It’s stable, but if you want it gone it’s a weekend job with two-part outdoor wood epoxy (about $12 a tube at Home Depot) and a couple of clamps (a 2-pack runs about $22, or free if you’ve got some in the garage). There’s also a strip of the wood veneer peeling up along one edge of the table. That one’s even easier, a bottle of waterproof wood glue is about $7.50 and you clamp it back down with the same clamps.
On the chairs, a couple of them have some fraying on the rope weave at the edges, and you can patch or re-wrap that with a spool of outdoor rope or paracord for around $6 to $15. Two of the chairs also have small chips and dings on the wood frame corners, the kind of thing a wood touch-up marker and wax stick kit (about $9 to $10) covers up in a few minutes. Basically, the total cost of repairs won’t be more than $80. None of it affects how the set works, it all still functions fine and looks good from a few feet away. I’d rather tell you now than have you find it later.
We accept Zelle and pickup will be from Brooklyn Heights. It’s heavy, so bring a friend and a vehicle that can handle a big table.
