The Ted folding chair is seen by Niels Gammelgaard as one of his IKEA Icons. Designed in 1976 and sold until the late 1980s. It has a sleek and simple design, the materials used ensure that it lasts a long time and the chair is known for its comfortable seat.
Ikea first introduced the Ted folding chair in its 1979 catalog, initially in red, white, blue and brown. In 1981, yellow and black were also added.
