$600 for a pair of iconic Eileen Gray E-1027 style circular clear glass and chrome adjustable height end tables (25-37"H x 20" diameter). Having the set versus only one of these timeless pieces significantly increases the value. They are in excellent condition with no pitting on the chrome, very very minimal chrome patina and clean, intact glass. The Eileen Gray Table was designed for Eileen Gray's famous E. 1027 house in Cap Martin in 1927 and it is said that it was originally designed to enable one of Gray's sisters to indulge in her love of eating in bed. By having a dining tray above the bed, rather than directly on the bed, the spill of crumbs could be avoided. Eileen Gray was fairly neglected for most of her career but is now regarded as one of the most influential 20th-century designers and architects.
