Dark wood.
Brass hardware.
Elegant curving and raised details.
Marked or signed “VAU/ 685-226” and stamped “685-226 7/88 Lot 1623 U.S.A.” on the back (see photo 15) — not sure if that gives a hint of the maker or age. I estimate it is about 30-40 years old, though it may be older.
Photos 11 and 12 show the bottom and side of one of the drawers (note the dovetailing). The next two photos are of the sides of the unit and the next two show the back and bottom of the unit.
The piece is in Good condition, with some nicks and scratches on top and wear at the edges, as would be expected in a piece this age, but nothing that can’t be handled with a little TLC. (See the next few photos)
It is located in a storage facility in Park Slope, Brooklyn…no steps, plus a cart to your car or van.
