Details: Deep bowl handcrafted by Haitian artisans from recycled 55-gallon steel oil drums. Signed on the underside “D J P R.” Exemplifies Haiti’s renowned metalworking tradition, where artisans transform reclaimed steel into functional works of art. The bowl features layered intricate, hand-cut and hammered nature-inspired motifs of birds, leaves, and flowers, with pierced cutouts creating a lace-like effect. The steel is hammered, punched, and incised with a burin (cold chisel), then sanded and varnished to achieve a luminous, textured finish. For use as a decorative centerpiece, fruit bowl, or candle holder.
