Job Summary:
We’re hiring a counter person/cashier for a fast-paced taco shop in Times Square. Applicants must be experienced, punctual, and able to handle high-volume service with accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers
Take in-person, phone, and online orders
Operate POS system and process payments
Call out orders when ready
Handle refunds and credits with manager approval
Count and balance cash drawer
Replace receipt paper as needed
Bag orders accurately
Keep front area clean and stocked
Coordinate with kitchen staff
Escalate unresolved issues to management
Requirements:
Prior experience required
Strong customer service and communication skills
Reliable and professional attitude
Basic math skills
Ability to perform under pressure
Flexible availability, including weekends
Pay Increase to $19/hr with Valid NYC DOH Food Handler’s License
