We are seeking talented, creative, and organized Head Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate can work efficiently either alone or as a team. This role is perfect for any Head Chef who is interested in menu creation, training staff, and teaching recipes to other sou chefs who will be working under you. We are seeking someone who is experienced in a variety of stations and techniques as you may be the only chef in the kitchen during certain hours.
Responsibilities:
1. Menu creation & staff training.
2. Prep ingredients and prepare dishes to order during service.
3. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.
5. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
6. Assist in shift management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
7. Collaborate with other departments to provide excellent hospitality experiences for guests.
8. Keep the kitchen organized, clean and orderly.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Chef.
2. Strong team skills with the ability to cooperate with others and lead effectively.
3. Knowledge of all restaurant stations and kitchen principles.
4. Knowledge of catering practices and food service management principles.
5. Excellent inventory management skills to maintain stock levels efficiently.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
8. A passion for cooking and plating dishes with care.
