Brooklyn DOP and DOP Fastlife are hiring Prep Crew. This is the backbone role: dough, mise, organization, cleanliness, and keeping the kitchen ready to execute at a high level every day.

What you’ll do

Execute prep recipes accurately and on schedule

Mix poolish + dough, portion, ball, and tray per production plan

Label/date/rotate everything (FIFO)

Keep prep station, walk-in, and dry storage organized and DOH-ready

Dish pit support + daily deep clean of prep area

Vacuum upstairs perimeter daily before open

Receive deliveries: verify counts + quality, stock properly

Line checks + communicate low pars to Prep Manager

FIFO compliance / waste control

Pay tiers (raises are earned, not waited for)

Level 1 – Prep Crew: $16.50–$17.50 + tips

Level 2 – Core Prep: $17.50–$18.50 + tips

Level 3 – Lead Prep / Dough Tech: $18.50–$19.50 + tips (NYC Food Handler’s License required)

Level 4 – Prep Supervisor: $19.50–$20.00 + tips (Food Handler’s License required)

Quarterly evaluations. Strong performers can cross-train and move up fast. DOP reimburses Food Handler testing fees after completion.

Requirements (non-negotiables)

Must have a valid Social Security Number and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Can lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, work clean + fast

Kitchen/prep experience is a plus (but discipline + attitude matter most)

Schedule

15–35 hours/week to start

Expected to go full-time shortly for the right person

Daytime/morning availability is a big plus
