Job Title: Prep Cook

Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Prep Cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with basic kitchen tasks to ensure the smooth operation of food service. Your role is essential in supporting the chefs and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash, peel, chop, cut, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients
Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or instructions
Portion and package food items for service or storage
Label and date all prepped items and store them properly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations and storage areas
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation as needed
Receive, unpack, and store food supplies
Dispose of kitchen waste and help with dishwashing when necessary
Requirements:
Previous kitchen or food prep experience is a plus, but not required — we’re willing to train the right person
Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Good communication and teamwork skills
Physical stamina: ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Reliable, punctual, and ready to work
