Seeking a manager for hospitality company that has a spa and restaurant. The ideal candidate has previous managerial experience and restaurant experience. They are excellent at customer service, can think critically and creatively, and can work autonomously. You will be asked to sign a 1-year contract at hiring. Therefore, please only apply if you are looking for a long-term position in a company where you can move up.
Requirements:
1. Must have at least 2-4 years experience in a supervisor or managerial role.
2. At least 2 years previous experience in dine-in restaurants as a bartender.
3. Must be out-going, friendly, and able to connect with all kinds of people. You must be patient and fair in conflict resolution.
4. Must be willing to take classes, training, and licensure that is necessary for the job. for example you will need to obtain CPR certification and A certified pool Operator certificate as part of management at our spa.
5. Must have excellent organization skills.
6. Must have the patience and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve. This can range from troubleshooting a printer that is not working to being able to resolve customer issues with grace.
7. Must have excellent computer skills including emails, small design projects in Canva, learning the POS system in depth and operating it, google docs, excel, and website updates (no coding necessary, we use WIX)
8. Most importantly, you must be able to analyze numbers, sales reports, trends and come up with ways to increase business.
Responsibilities:
1. Creating the weekly staff schedules, incorporating time-off requests, and communicating schedule needs to the employees.
2. Being the point of contact for the employees. When employees need supplies, have scheduling requests, questions, and other concerns, they will report to you and you will report to the General manager.
3. Monitoring inventory and Putting together vendor orders for the GM. Overseeing each department's inventory and making sure employees are keeping product stocked and prepped for service.
4. Assisting the GM with marketing tasks and special event logistics. This means overseeing our marketing needs and making sure they get done.
5. Training new employees. Addressing employee weaknesses and handling performance reviews.
6. Regularly checking chemical levels in the spas and overseeing that all cleaning logs and testing logs are maintained.
7. Jumping in "on the floor" when necessary. For example, if a server or front desk attendant calls out on emergency, you will need to cover or find coverage.
8. Ensuring customers have an excellent experience.
9. Overseeing operations in the absence of the General Manager.
10. Phone calls, emails, and other administrative tasks pertinent to the management of the business.
11.Overseeing the special events that are scheduled for the week. This includes being the point person for clients when they arrive for their event, managing client expectations for their rental, and being a communication liaison.
12. Other projects or tasks that are needed to grow business. As part of the management team, you will need to be a team player and open to changes. Strategizing and trying new things means that you may have tasks and roles not included in this list.
