Do you live in the Greenpoint or Williamsburg area? Do you love ice cream and talking to people? The Screen Door ice cream and sundae shop is looking for customer service pros to join our small team for a part-time seasonal position.
We're looking to hire Ice Cream Servers. This position requires a valid NY Food Handler's License. Ice Cream Servers will start at $20/hr plus pooled tips which vary depending on the season/weather from $15 to $30/hr on top of hourly.
Interested candidates must be available for weekday afternoon and weekend shifts through at least late October. Shifts will vary as we continue to navigate our opening, however ideally we will come to a set schedule of three to five shifts per week. Positions to begin in mid to late-March.
Applicants will need to be able to:
- Be reliable and dependable
- Lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Scoop large quantities of ice cream
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate superior people skills
- Be customer-focused and professional
Having experience with a soft serve machine is a huge plus.
