We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven General Manager to lead the daily
operations of an intimate, chef-driven omakase restaurant in Brooklyn.
This role requires a refined service mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep respect for Japanese dining culture
and high-touch guest experiences.
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, team
development, guest satisfaction, and financial performance while working closely with
ownership and the culinary team to uphold the restaurant’s standards and vision.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead and oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service and an
elevated guest experience
● Hire, train, schedule, and mentor FOH staff to maintain exceptional hospitality standards
● Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, reservations, and POI experiences
● Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and ownership on service execution, menu
pacing, and guest flow
● Manage reservations, seating strategy, and service timing for omakase seatings
● Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost controls for beverages and FOH supplies
● Ensure compliance with all health, safety, labor, and liquor regulations
● Monitor financial performance, labor costs, and weekly reporting
● Maintain a calm, professional presence during service and resolve guest concerns with
grace and discretion
Qualifications

-Proven fine-dining experience at the highest level
Experience in Michelin-starred or equivalent luxury hospitality environments, with full ownership of service, people, and performance.
-Exceptional guest experience & service philosophy
Deep understanding of anticipatory, detail-driven hospitality, creating emotionally resonant guest experiences, not just smooth service.
-Strong financial & operational acumen
Demonstrated success managing budgets, P&Ls, labor costs, forecasting, and profitability while maintaining uncompromising standards.
-People leadership & culture building
Hire, train, mentor, and retain top-tier talent; known for building disciplined, respectful, and high-performance teams.
-Strategic thinking & adaptability
Comfortable leading through change (concept evolution, menu shifts, operational pivots) while aligning daily execution with long-term vision.
