FOH Captain – Fritz Cocktail Bar

Fritz Cocktail Bar is seeking an experienced Front of House Captain — a hands-on, tipped shift leader who is comfortable both behind the bar and on the floor.
This role requires strong cocktail bartending experience and the ability to lead a team during busy services.
Please attend the open call only if you have at least 2 years of bartending experience in a cocktail-focused bar.
The Role
Full-time • 40 hrs/week
Approx. **$1,500/week ($80k/year)** including tips (before taxes)
As FOH Captain, you’ll help lead service from open to close — working alongside the team bartending, serving, and supporting the floor while ensuring smooth operations and great hospitality.
Captains typically work primarily at one location but may occasionally support our other venues.
Responsibilities
• Lead and support the FOH team during service
• Run quick pre-shifts (specials, 86s, priorities)
• Bartend, serve, run food, greet guests, and support the floor
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and DOH standards
• Handle comps, voids, and cash management responsibly
• Help maintain a positive, focused team culture
What We’re Looking For
• 2+ years bartending in a cocktail-focused bar
• Leadership experience in a busy NYC bar or restaurant
• Calm, confident presence behind the bar and on the floor
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
• Strong hospitality instincts
