We are looking for a cheerful, friendly, and extroverted, EXPERIENCED cashier/barista who can make great beverages and pack up pastries while hosting the counter like it's a party full of your favorite friends. Our front of house staff make our customers feel valued, welcomed, and like they're at their home away from home. We remember our regulars' names and orders, play great music, make great food and beverages, and leave work feeling like we've made the world a little bit better for each other and our customers every day.
Hours:
Weds-Sun, 6:30am - 3pm. Three to five days a week (TBD based on candidate.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet every customer in a warm, friendly, and enthusiastic manner.
- Make conversation with customers while guiding them through their orders.
- Learn the menu thoroughly so you can answer questions and recommend menu items.
- Use Toast POS quickly and accurately from opening, handling all transactions and change-making, to closing out at the end of shift.
- Take orders efficiently and accurately to minimize frustration and food waste.
- Drink preparation: Brew coffee, make espresso drinks, matchas, and hot cocoa with care and consistency.
- Restock deli displays and ensure items are rotated.
- Follow opening and closing checklists for your station.
Food Safety and Maintenance:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at your station.
- Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure product freshness and proper handling.
- Work sober and be rested when you come to work.
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST PROVIDE RESUME WITH RELEVANT BARISTA/CASHIER EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING TWO PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES.
WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS A MUST. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK STARTING AT 6:30AM.
Should be available at least 3 days and up to 5 days per week, including Saturday and Sunday.
Must be a people person who can multitask under pressure while staying friendly.
Must be very reliable and consistent.
Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
