Woofers re foamed- all surround made in USA - specifically for Cervin Vega - not cheap china surround foam.
All sound back to original performance.
They deliver much more refined sound using a 3-way, 4-driver configuration of a 12-inch downward-firing woofer, a 6 1/4" mid-range, and a horn tweeter together with a rear-facing horn in a sophisticated enclosure. The 12TR delivers tight deep bass, smooth midrange and excellent highs. They manage this while retaining a very-high efficiency of 100 dB that makes them suitable for use with both small tube amplifiers and powerful solid state amplifier where they can deliver sound levels up to 120 dB @1m. Three frequency adjustment controls are provided to tune the sound to match room acoustics and personal preferences.
The enclosures are heavily-built and weigh 88 pounds each. The woofer is in a tuned horn similar to the transmission line designs used by IMF, PMC, and other high-end speaker manufacturers. The midrange is in its own damped enclosure. The enclosures are finished in book-matched walnut veneer.
