We are seeking a skilled HVAC & Plumbing Draftsperson/Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing design drawings for residential and commercial buildings, with a strong ability to interpret and apply applicable codes and technical standards.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is a plus).
• Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing system layouts and design principles.
• Familiarity with NYC Building Codes, Plumbing Code, and Mechanical Code.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturer equipment specifications.
• Strong research skills.
• Prior experience in residential and commercial design projects is preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare floor plans for HVAC and plumbing systems in residential and small commercial projects.
• Develop riser diagrams for plumbing, sprinkler, and HVAC systems.
• Review and apply relevant NYC Building Code, Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, and other applicable codes.
• Research and interpret manufacturer equipment manuals to select suitable models and equipment for specific project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and architects to ensure accurate and code-compliant designs.
• Maintain organized and detailed documentation of drawings, technical data, and design decisions.
