The particular Capodimonte ID mark shows these 5 Capodimonte pieces were made in the last Royal Capodimonte period, between 1771- 1834. As such, they are highly valuable.

Capodimonte factory was founded by King Charles III,. King Ferdinand was his son and this period, 1770-1834, King Ferdinand’s reign, Fabricca Reale at Portici, was the final royal period of Capodimonte. The ID Mark for this period was the particular crown & the letter N in blue. There were / are counterfeit impersonators, the tell tale give away was / is different crowns.

Approx heights: Heights: The green Fighting Dwarf is approx 3 & 3/4", the Blue Hunchback approx 3 and 3/4", the the dwarf in the Red Vest approx 3 and 3/4", The Hunchback with Two Canes is approx 3 and 1/2", the Sitting Dwarf with the book is approx 2 and/1/8".

These were my grandparents. I grew up in their home, the ground floor was a museum: all the antiques were in built in displays in the living room and foyers, or on mantelpieces, or on mahogany furniture in the dining room. Or in a corner cupboard. These Capidimontes had been wrapped individually in paper, and kept in a box on a shelf for about 30 years.

4 of the Capodimontes are in perfect or excellent condition.
The guy in the red vest, with the knife that is battle shortened or broken, & his right hand missing- those may be factory made physicalities. They are not jagged , and are smooth. My mom is in her late 80s, my grandparents had these when she was born, and she only remembers this guy being that way. But, one portion of his hat is broken off, and the feather in his hat broken off. So that piece has at least 2 flaws, possibly 4.
My mom took these Capodimontes out of hiding (out of the boxes) about 5 years ago. Kept them in that same corner cupboard. Time has come to sell them to some lucky collector.
