Why this bike is the best kid-hauler money can buy:
1) 8-speed internal hub means reliable gear shifting all the time with no maintenance.
2) 20" wheels give the Haul-A-Day a low center of gravity, making it easier to balance when riding and when kids are mounting/dismounting; small wheels are faster to accelerate, zippy!
3) Adjustable frame, this bike fits riders from 4'9" to 6'6".
4) Bike is in excellent condition, steel frame is hand-built in Oregon, will last forever, is surprisingly light, retails new for $3,400 plus $140 for shipping.
5) The front basket holds crazy amounts of stuff, means no messing with bags under kids feet, and improves balance when loaded because it's independent of the handlebars, i.e. when you turn the handlebars the front basket doesn't move because it's fixed to the frame.
6) It's NOT electric, stay in shape and live forever!
Bike Friday Haul-A-Day cargo bike set up for hauling kids. With an adjustable frame, this bike fits riders from 4'9" to 6'6". Bike Friday customs builds all their frames in Oregon. I ordered the frame and built the bike around an 8-speed Shimano Alfine internal hub. The bike served me (6' tall) and my wife (5'4" tall) very well for hauling our two kids around. We didn't even need to adjust the frame or handlebars when we swapped the bike between us, only the saddle height needed to be adjusted. The bike is in excellent condition as it was only used two haul our kids around for a few years, until they were big enough for their own Bike Fridays.
A Haul-a-Day with the "Full Family Cargo" accessory package retails new with Bike Friday for $3,400 plus $140 for shipping. Cash or PayPal accepted (buyer pays any applicable PayPal fees).
